Introduction
CalcTune ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website calctune.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.
By using CalcTune, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Service.
Information We Collect
CalcTune is designed to minimize data collection. We do not require user accounts, and you do not need to provide any personal information to use our calculators. All calculations are performed in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous usage statistics, including page views, device type, browser information, approximate geographic location, and how you interact with our Service. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Share URL Data: When you use our result-sharing feature, we temporarily store your IP address for rate-limiting purposes. This data is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV and automatically expires after one hour. The shared calculation parameters are stored as part of the URL but do not contain personally identifiable information.
Contact Information: If you contact us via email, we will receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our third-party partners use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our Service. Here is a detailed breakdown of the cookies and storage mechanisms in use:
Google Analytics: Uses _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish unique users and track sessions. These cookies are set by Google and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense: Uses cookies to serve personalized advertisements based on your browsing history and interests. These cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on your prior visits to CalcTune and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings at https://adssettings.google.com.
Affiliate Tracking: Third-party affiliate programs (such as Amazon Associates) may set cookies when you click on affiliate links on our Service. These cookies are used to track referrals and attribute purchases. Each affiliate program has its own cookie policy.
Theme Preference: We store your light/dark mode preference using localStorage (key: calctune-theme). This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to any server.
Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure
CalcTune displays advertisements through Google AdSense to support the free operation of our Service. Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads that may be personalized based on your browsing behavior. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our Service based on your prior visits to our website and other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings (https://adssettings.google.com) or by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page (https://optout.networkadvertising.org).

We only recommend or link to products and services that we believe may be useful to our users. However, we encourage you to conduct your own research before making any purchase. The presence of affiliate links does not constitute an endorsement of any product, service, or company.
This disclosure is made in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, as well as applicable international regulations.
